Mike Silverman

Founder & Principal, Aequora

Mike founded Aequora to work where cyber security, emerging technology, and business transformation meet. It's familiar ground. He has worked in AI since 1996 and was publishing in the field as a student: for Mike, this is a career-long focus, not a passing trend.

Most recently as Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at FS-ISAC, the financial sector's primary threat-intelligence organization, he shaped how 5,000+ financial institutions worldwide approach AI risk and post-quantum cryptography, all while owning parts of the $30M P&L and part of the org growing revenue 60%+. He is equally credible in a policy forum and an engineering standup: a daily AI practitioner who has also advised at the G7, the Bank for International Settlements, Europol, and FBI.

Off the clock

Mike races sailboats as a tactician and helmsman. That's not incidental: it's where the firm gets its name. Aequora is Latin for calm, level seas, the conditions you reach by reading the currents early and steering with intent.
